Action Design

What it does

Describe the frontend you want and it builds a warm, editorial minimalist interface, the direction is already set. Think document-style calm: a bone-and-charcoal monochrome canvas, generous whitespace, flat bento cards, and borders so light they barely register. No gradients, no heavy drop shadows, no pill buttons.

The whole build runs on one committed system. A warm white or off-white canvas with off-black charcoal text, editorial serif headings played against a geometric sans and a monospace for meta, asymmetric bento grids ruled with 1px hairline borders, and muted pastel accents used only on tags. Type gets a serif, sans, and mono contrast instead of Inter for everything, and content fades in on a gentle stagger as you scroll. Point it at a new page or an existing one and it makes the result read as edited rather than templated.

When to use it

  • You want a calm, editorial minimal look

Describe the frontend and get warm monochrome code: serif-and-sans contrast, flat bento grids, near-invisible borders.

  • You already know you want minimalist

The direction is set, so it enforces massive whitespace, flat cards, and ultra-diffuse shadows.

  • You want minimal without looking templated

It bans Inter, drop shadows, gradients, and pill buttons, using muted accents only for tags.

FAQ

What style does it apply?

minimalist-ui turns a generic frontend into a warm, editorial minimal interface, with a monochrome palette, strong type contrast, flat bento grids, and muted pastel accents used only for tags. No gradients or heavy shadows.

Does it work on my existing frontend?

Yes. minimalist-ui restyles the interface you already have onto its system, from a warm off-white canvas to editorial serif headings against a geometric sans. You do not start over.

What does it refuse to use?

minimalist-ui bans Inter and Roboto, drop shadows, gradients, pill buttons, and SaaS copy cliches. It keeps the look restrained rather than defaulting to the usual AI frontend patterns.
