Describe an object, share a photo or name a concept like display pixels, and get an exploded technical illustration on a page you can recolor and download as SVG, PNG or PDF.

Describe an object, share a photograph or CAD model, or name an idea like display subpixels or interface layers, and get back a technical illustration of how it fits together. The drawing comes on a single standalone HTML page that switches between assembled and exploded views, colors and fills any part, labels parts with leader lines, and downloads the A3 sheet as SVG, PNG or PDF with no network requests.
Teardown builds one 3D model and projects every view from it, so hole counts, ribs and fasteners agree between the assembled and exploded states. Each part gets its own explosion path along its real assembly axis, and parameter sliders let you change dimensions you chose to expose. A proof script renders the sheet at every parameter extreme and at 150% spacing, and warns when an exploded part hides behind another.
It keeps an evidence.md that marks each feature as supplied, estimated from a photo, or invented for a concept, and it labels illustrative drawings as concepts. The result explains and presents; it is not a toleranced manufacturing drawing.
Get an exploded axonometric drawing with each part moved along its own assembly path, plus the assembled view one switch away.
Turn concepts like subpixels or composited interface layers into a stack of thin labeled plates, each filled in its own color.
Get a drawing reconstructed from what the photo shows, with estimated proportions marked as estimates and hidden internals left out or flagged.
Recolor lines, fill parts, toggle labels and adjust exposed dimensions on the page, then download exactly that view as SVG, PNG or PDF.
A standalone HTML page with assembled and exploded views, color and fill controls, part labels and SVG, PNG and PDF downloads. Teardown also hands over evidence.md, drawing.json and the model script, so you can rebuild or edit the drawing.
No. Teardown makes illustrations that explain and present, with nothing toleranced and invented dimensions left as invented. When you need a drawing to make a part from, it points you to your CAD tool's drawing workflow.
Node with npm to install jspdf, svg2pdf.js and the Inter font, which get embedded in the page. The viewer check uses Node 22 or later and headless Chrome; without a browser, Teardown delivers the files and says visual checks are incomplete.
Teardown builds one model and derives every view from it, then renders the sheet and inspects it. Its proof script checks parameter extremes and 150% spacing and flags any exploded part that shows less than half its linework.
